This stylishly renovated historic suite, built in 1915, offers a blend of vintage charm and modern luxury near the Calgary Stampede grounds. The suite has been renovated to a more modern look and is fully furnished in a modern-day homage to the early 1900’s. Located on the 2nd floor of the historic J. Nevler building in Ramsay and was constructed in 1915, it is an Edwardian Commercial style building. Jeremiah Nevler (the original owner), a Russian Jewish immigrant who lived in Calgary with his family. Nevler operated a grocery store in Bridgeland / Riverside before relocating his home and business to this address. He evidently left the City around 1923-24, and sold the building around 1928. Today it is named Hardware Block as it once held a hardware storefront but has been converted to living space. • Downtown skyline views from Scotsman's Hill • Near Calgary Stampede and Inglewood • Great location to downtown Calgary • Brand new furniture and decor • Guest Public Parking on side street The bedroom is very comfortable with a warm cozy duvet, a memory foam queen bed mattress, high end bedding and pillow options for your comfort. There is a privacy curtain with a blackout curtain in the room. For additional comfort we have a portable AC unit in the summer and a small heater in the winter. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook an amazing meal. The kitchen also comes with a choice of coffee and tea. The bathroom also comes with everything you would need and more! Did you forget to pack something? We have you covered with a care bag which includes toothpaste, lotions, shampoo, conditioners, body wash, feminine hygiene products etc. The living room has a sofa bed that folds out into a queen sized bed that is suitable for smaller adults or for kids. The Suite has laundry within, located in the kitchen next to the bathroom. Let us know if you are travelling with an infant or small children. upon request we can accommodate with a pack and play that is safe for overnight sleeping. There are several steps to the 2nd level after entering in the yellow side door, this suite is NOT suitable for people with mobility issues as you would have to walk up to the 2nd level. Then the green door on the right at the top of the stairs. For coffee: We provide a tin coffee along with a coffee machine in the unit for your convenience. As part of our commitment to sustainable living, we've transitioned away from single-use cups. Instead, savor the rich aroma of ground coffee, provided for your convenience. Our suite utilizes a noise and smoke monitoring device that monitors the level of noise, in addition to any unauthorized smoking or vaping. *Do not tamper/remove/turn off our noise, sound , smoke monitoring device in the unit. There will be a $350 fine levied against you. *No smoking or vaping of any substances in suite and building. If smoking or vaping is detected there will be a $350 additional charge for cleaning. *Possible unexpected noises and noise transfer due to age of the building and thin walls. *Please take care of your own dishes prior to your checkout. Otherwise you will be charged for additional cleaning of $65. No pets are allowed in this suite, the building itself may not be pet or allergy free. However this suite, we will do our best to keep this clean and free of any odors and allergens but there is no guarantee. There is a $350 penalty for unauthorized pets in the unit. This suite does not have a dining table due to limited space however, there is plenty of seating on the sofa bed.
